Zeta News
Zeta Chapter has met 4 times since the fall of 2020, twice as a Zoom meeting (April and May) and twice in person with a Zoom possibility (September and October). In April, Kathy Bennett presented a PowerPoint about Resiliency and Trauma from a presentation she attended. In May we had a book share and each person on Zoom shared a book recently read with a brief description of the book. If we had met in-person we would have also had a book swap at that meeting.
This past September we met at the Richford Country Club, first inside to learn about Chair Yoga with Rossi Charron and then outside on the deck for our business meeting and meal. In October we returned to the Richford Country Club for our brunch meeting and heard a presentation on Mercy Connections, a non-profit in Burlington that supports women with various programs. We donated items for dignity bags used in their Vermont Women’s Mentoring Program which is a restorative reentry project for women being released from prison.
Zeta will host the DKG VT Spring Convention in South Burlington on April 30.

ZETA CHAPTER NEWS
Hi, All,
We had a great meeting today in the barn on Lisa Besso’s property at the top of Enosburg! What a beautiful day! Afterward, Lisa took some of us on a tour of the property along a mowed path that was over a quarter of a mile long.
I have attached the composting literature that we were given today by our speaker Aaron Shepherd in case the information would be helpful to any who could not attend. Also attached are two photos, one of the walking crew and the other of the beautiful view.
Thank you so much to our hostesses (Deb Grandshaw, Anne Ouellette, Lisa Besso and Kaye Mehaffey). They provided us with delicious muffins, cookies, fruit and various beverages. After our business meeting we had a great teacup auction.
During the business meeting I mentioned that I would be sending out questions, hoping for responses from who ever felt so inclined. You will find those at the bottom of this email. We discussed the Gratitude project...Carol Hickey has written a letter to the County Courier which someone will send to me and Candy and Brenda volunteered to deliver apple posters thanking the faculty and staff at the Richford and Enosburg Schools. If anyone else would like to print and deliver posters, I am happy to send you the template.
Also, Deb Grandshaw shared with us Kaye’s vision for her Christmas Tea, Covid-style. I will let Kaye share the details later on. For now, put Dec. 7th on your calendar with a possible snow date of Dec. 9.
That is it for now. The questions are below....please send me your thoughts if you are so inclined. Happy fall and hope to see you in December!
Jill
1. What should be the role of DKG Vermont (the state organization)?
2. How could our state organization support the local chapters?
3. Would you like the local chapters to have more communication with each other?
Thanks, everyone!
